Inspiring Impactful Change
Selfless Love & Active Beat established 10/01/2022 due to keeping my late husband‘s legacy and memory alive. The late Alvin L. Budd Sr. was a heart failure patient who became ill due to Cardiomyopathy and a family history of heart disease. May 13, 2018 Alvin had a heart transplant and 3 years later transitioned. The journey was not just Alvin’s alone I, Chanel Budd was his primary care giver, wife, support system an more. Alvin was also a donor so giving life back became an additional part of his legacy. The learned information, feeling the emotional, mental, spiritual and physical aspects prompted his wife Founder Chanel Budd too serve others who may not have the support, resources or community while going through their very own journey of coping with heart or organ failure.
Who We Are
Our strength lies not only in the words we stand by, but most importantly in the actions of our initiatives. From the moment we started our work in 2022, we understood that by working together we could overcome our challenging journeys of organ transplants, being a care giver or donor much more efficiently with resources, support and by being a beacon of hope. That is why we ultimately decided to launch Selfless Love & Active Beat. We strive to make a positive change in all of our pursuits.

We see every challenge as an opportunity, and our volunteer and sponsorship initiative helps Selfless Love & Active Beat ensure that those we serve are better prepared to persevere in the unique situations of organ failure and the need for transplantation they find themselves in by building a relatable support group and a host of community resources.
Community Outreach
Empowering Others
Selfless Love & Active Beat are dedicated to putting our Collin and Dallas counties communities first in hopes of expanding all across the USA. Our Community Outreach program provides a much-needed volunteer service for those in need of resources, support and community. Our service provides minimal short term assistance to include a half- day of voluntary respite care while the designated care giver receives a half- day of selfcare. Cafeteria Food Vouchers per request during a emergent hospital stay. (Limited to one designated person to include two meals per stay) Transportation service to self sufficient clients or for those who are not self sufficient we ask that you have someone with you. The transportation service at this time is on a special request basis (upon approval). Medical Supply Rentals - essential supplies such as bath chairs and walkers just to name a few provided via referrals or urgent inquires. A special resource is our concierge service that will assist as a liaison on behalf of the primary caregiver or the designated family members behalf when a special request has been received or via referral if such the need arises (Contact us for more detailed information). We have a host of experts who have over 15 years of experience in the mental health, physical health, personal development and self care sectors providing tips, tools and resources.
